New Mexico Style Chili

2 large dried New Mexico chili pods (Mexican isle)
1 cup water
2 pounds chili meat       
1 can beef broth
1 8-oz can salt free tomato sauce
1 cube beef bullion
1 cube chicken bullion
1 Tbsp granulated onion
1 Tbsp paprika
1 packet Sazon Goya (Mexican isle)
1 tsp granulated garlic
1 Tbsp cumin
1/2 to 1 Tbsp Mexene (dark) chili powder
 

1. Cover chili pods with water in a small pot and simmer till soft.  Remove peppers from heat, cool enough to handle, and remove all seeds.  Strain water into blender to remove stray seeds, add chili pods and blend.  Set aside.

2. Brown chili meat.  Add beef broth and boil gently 20 minutes.

3. Add blended chili, tomato sauce, bullion cubes, onion, paprika and Sazon Goya seasoning.  Cover and simmer 1 hour.

4.  Add granulated garlic and cumin.  TASTE for flavor.  Add 1/2 to 1 tablespoon chili powder.  Simmer 30 minutes.
