This first entry has to do with the parents of Robert Curtis, since we cannot find him on any census before he appeared in Indian Territory in the late 1870's.
William Thadford "Bill" Curtis received this letter written by Isaac Graham, Noble, Oklahoma in 1934. After he died, Ethel Curtis, wife of Aaron Teena Curtis found the letter. She copied it into a letter she wrote to Mae Curtis Godchaux sometime in the 1970's. There are 2 pages to the letter and the third is the answer back from Aunt Mae to Aunt Ethel (actually my great-aunts).
